With sales in phase 14A Parklands, Western Cape one would be excused for wondering whether we are still in a recession.
With just over 30 single residential plots being secured within the first week of releasing this new phase to the market, this latest offering from the unique Parklands enclave is off to a storming start.
Phase 14A is ideally situated; immediately north of the recently extended Sandown Road extension (east of Builders Warehouse), offering easy access to the R27 (West Coast Rd), and in the near future - access to the N7 freeway via Sandown Road and the M12.
This phase, abutting Sunningdale, offers the prospective homeowner a range of single residential, village and terrace erven, with feature landscaped parks and linear connecting open spaces. Plots here are conveniently located, being in close proximity to the major schools and new shopping centres in the area, and within walking distance of the soon-to-be commissioned new senior campus for Parklands College.
“Some of our purchasers have been waiting for phase 14A for almost five years”, said Nathan Green, senior sales executive of the Aska Property Group. “With interest from as far a field as Europe, we believe that the remaining plots here will be snapped up in no time at all”, he concluded.
The Aska Property Group sales team is currently in negotiations with both international and local developers, who have identified the future commercial potential of the Sandown Road extension and are vying for the strategic locations along this high profile precinct. “This will inevitably offer local residents some exciting new shopping experiences on their doorstep and will provide further employment opportunities here in Parklands,” said Dave Macleod-Elliott, Sales Director for the group.
Popular since its inception, Parklands has become a community that many throughout the country envy. Top end properties blending with smaller homes, has led to a residential area that offers opportunities, for many. And, with its proximity to the coast and the growing number of schools and commercial opportunities, Parklands seems destined to become the business model that others seeking success, will surely follow.
The Sandown Road extension is soon to become a hive of activity with construction about to commence on the new Checkers retail value centre. This new centre, with +/- 33,000m2 of gross lettable area, is similar in extent to the recently extended Bayside Shopping Centre.
“A further phase of the Integrated Rapid Transport (IRT) system will include the Sandown Road extension to provide public transport to the area,” concluded Macleod-Elliott. The transport infrastructure requirements for the IRT have been incorporated in the panning of Sandown Road.
The Parklands development is a joint venture between the Milnerton Estates and the Aska Property Group.
